Mittelfristige Perspektiven der Ost-West-Konvergenz

Abstract

Gelingt es Ostdeutschland, den stetigen Aufwärtstrend im industriellen Sektor zu halten, und kommt der strukturelle Anpassungsprozess in der Bauwirtschaft demnächst zu einem Ende, so kann der Konvergenzprozess wieder etwas an Fahrt aufnehmen. Damit es zu einer solchen Konvergenz in Zukunft wieder kommen kann, wird es für Ostdeutschland zudem wichtig sein, frühzeitig auf die Konsequenzen des absehbaren demographischen Wandels und das in Zukunft absinkende Transfervolumen zu reagieren.
