Regionale Disparitäten in Deutschland und ausgesuchten OECD-Staaten im Vergleich

Abstract

Während das Grundgesetz auf der einen Seite die Einheitlichkeit der Lebensverhältnisse fordert, werden auf der anderen Seite von der Bevölkerung im wiedervereinigten Deutschland erhebliche regionale Disparitäten wahrgenommen. Um eine Aussage darüber treffen zu können, ob diese regionalen Disparitäten in Deutschland eher groß oder klein sind, werden im vorliegenden Beitrag zunächst die regionalen Unterschiede der Pro-Kopf-Bruttoinlandsprodukte in Deutschland aufgezeigt und anschließend anhand des Variationskoeffizienten quantifiziert. Auf Basis dieser Berechnungen wird ein Vergleich des Variationskoeffizienten der regionalen Pro-Kopf-Bruttoinlandsprodukte Deutschlands mit denen anderer Industriestaaten vorgenommen.
