Emotionen in der Arbeitswelt: Theoretische Hintergründe und praktische Einflussnahme

Abstract

Emotionen sind in der Arbeitswelt in mehrfacher Hinsicht bedeutsam. Positive Emotionsqualitäten - wie Freude und Stolz - stehen in Zusammenhang mit der Qualität der Arbeit und sind dann von besonderer Relevanz, wenn die Zukunft der Arbeit in hochindustrialisierten Ländern zur Diskussion steht. Aber auch negative Gefühle - wie Stress, Angst oder Neid - müssen betrachtet werden, denn Mitarbeiter, die in ihrer Handhabung kompetent sind, vermögen sich schneller von kritischen Ereignissen oder Misserfolgen des Arbeitslebens zu erholen. Darüber hinaus besteht die Kunst der Dienstleistung in modernen Gesellschaften zum großen Teil in der Fähigkeit, mit eigenen Emotionen und den Gefühlen von Kunden reflektiert umzugehen.
