Abstract

Background: In Nigeria, family planning is essential to address high rates of unintended pregnancies and associated health risks. Despite widespread awareness of contraceptive methods, uptake among women of reproductive age remains low due to socio-cultural, economic, and individual factors. Addressing these barriers is crucial for improving reproductive health outcomes and empowering women. Objective: This study examined the barriers and facilitators of contraceptive uptake among women in selected markets in Oyo State, Nigeria, focusing on socio-demographic factors, knowledge, attitudes, and partner support.
