Abstract

This study examines the effect of financial inclusion and financial technology on the performance of SMEs in Ekiti State. The study adopted descriptive survey research and covered all the registered 928 SMEs in Ekiti State, Nigeria; out of which 282 SMEs were sampled across the senatorial district in Ekiti State. A close-ended questionnaire was used to elicit the needed information from the sampled respondents across the study location. Pearson correlation and simple linear regression were used to analyze the responses of the respondents. However, before the administration of the instrument, validity and reliability of the instrument were carried out. It was discovered that there is a positive significant effect of availability of financial services on the performance of SMEs in Ekiti State proxied with customer satisfaction and profitability to the tune of 0.608(p=0.036
