Developing a practical business continuity plan for the CHRISTUS Health risk management department

Abstract

This paper identifies factors supporting development of an independent business continuity plan for corporate risk management departments. It utilises a case study approach to identify a process and a template that can be used to develop such a plan. Educational resources necessary for effective business continuity planning are referenced. The paper identifies 'must haves', pivotal planning issues and creative approaches to risk management department business continuity.
