Erfolgreiche Forschung und Entwicklung nach Unternehmensakquisitionen: Eine empirische Untersuchung der Post Merger Integrationsprozesse

Abstract

Die Zusammenführung von Forschungs- und Entwicklungsbereichen als Folge einer Fusion oder Akquisition erfordert in der Regel ein umfassendes Integrationsprojekt, um die Innovationsfähigkeit des Unternehmens auch in Zukunft sicherzustellen. Auf Basis eines konzeptionellen Bezugsrahmens erfolgt eine empirische Untersuchung des Problems, wobei Gestaltungsmaßnahmen mit Hilfe eines ?Partial Least Squares (PLS)?-Strukturgleichungsmodells überprüft werden. Es zeigt sich einerseits, dass Unternehmen auf drei charakteristische Integrationsstrategien mit jeweils unterschiedlichem Integrationsgrad zurückgreifen. Andererseits erweisen sich insbesondere system- und ressourcenbezogene Integrationsmaßnahmen als erfolgsrelevant. Darüber hinaus beeinträchtigt eine allzu technologiegetriebene Integration den ökonomischen Erfolg der Integration erheblich.
