Flexibilisierung der Arbeitszeit: Warum das bestehende Arbeitszeitgesetz und eine gesetzliche Arbeitszeiterfassung wichtig sind

Abstract

Eine weitreichende Flexibilisierung der Arbeitszeit wird von verschiedenen politischen Akteuren gefordert. Anhand des nationalen und internationalen Forschungsstandes zeigt dieser Report, welche positiven, aber auch negativen Folgen flexible Arbeitszeiten (inklusive Homeoffice bzw. mobile Arbeit) für die Gesundheit und Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Privatleben haben können. Dabei wird deutlich: Das bestehende Arbeitszeitgesetz ist für eine gesunderhaltende und vereinbarkeitsfreundliche Flexibilisierung der Arbeitszeit notwendig. Anhand von Ergebnissen der fünften Welle der HBS-Erwerbspersonenbefragung zeigt der Report, dass arbeitsorganisatorische Rahmenbedingungen im Betrieb wie eine unzureichende Personaldecke, häufige Projekt- und Teamarbeit und knappe Deadlines mit einer schlechteren Erholung von der Arbeit einhergehen. Eine Arbeitszeiterfassung im Homeoffice kann hingegen die Erholung fördern.
