Beschäftigungswunder und Armut: Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich

Abstract

Im westeuropäischen Vergleich sticht die Entwicklung des deutschen Arbeitsmarktes erstens durch das Nebeneinander von beeindruckendem Beschäftigungswachstum und zunehmender Arbeitsarmut hervor. Zweitens kombiniert die Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik sinkende Arbeitslosigkeit mit steigender Armutsgefährdung der verbleibenden Arbeitslosen. Der Beitrag geht den Ursachen dieser beiden Entwicklungen nach.
