Tarifliche Branchenmindestlöhne 2020-2025: Eine gemischte Bilanz

Abstract

Tarifliche Branchenmindestlöhne definieren Lohnuntergrenzen, die von allen Betrieben einer Branche eingehalten werden müssen, unabhängig davon, ob sie tarifgebunden sind oder nicht. In Ergänzung zum gesetzlichen Mindestlohn haben die Branchenmindestlöhne eine wichtige Funktion zur Begrenzung von Niedriglöhnen. Für den Zeitraum 2020 - 2025 ergibt sich eine gemischte Bilanz: In einigen Branchen stieg der Branchenmindestlohn deutlich stärker als die Verbraucherpreise, in manchen blieb er deutlich dahinter zurück. In drei Branchen lief der Branchenmindestlohn bislang ersatzlos aus.
