Ansätze zur Lösung von Arbeitskonflikten: Das philosophisch und psychologisch fundierte Konzept von Mary Parker Follett

Abstract

Die Anfang des vergangenen Jahrhunderts lebende amerikanische Organisationstheoretikerin Mary Parker Follett entwickelte die sog. Integrationsmethode zur Lösung von Konflikten zwischen Menschen. Wenn man unterstellt, dass die Arbeitsstelle das Rollenverhalten jedes Menschen entscheidend prägt, kann man diese Methode auch auf Arbeitsbeziehungen übertragen. Konflikte entstehen, weil die Mitarbeiter keine Einigung über die relativen Preise der Arbeitsleistungen (= Güterbündel), die sie tauschen wollen, erzielen. Der Tausch unterbleibt, so dass beide Parteien nur ein niedrigeres Nutzenniveau erzielen können. Bei intensiverer Suche würde sich eine Lösung finden lassen, denn da alle Dinge miteinander verbunden sind, existiert ein solcher Kompromiss. Dies ist eine wichtige Aussage der Philosophie von Whitehead, die in dem Aufsatz kurz zusammengefasst wird. Nur durch die Verfügbarkeit neuer Informatio-nen ist es den vertragsparteien möglich, den Kompromiss zu sehen, wobei sie ihr Bild von der Umwelt ändern müssen. Die Änderung des Blickwinkels ist schwierig, aber möglich, wie die Gestaltpsychologie betont, auf die ebenfalls kurz eingegangen wird. Die Ausführungen wer-den an dem Tarifstreit zwischen VW und der IG Metall über das Projekt 5000 erläutert.
