Internationale Migration und wirtschaftliche Entwicklung: Eine theoretische und empirische Analyse mit Hilfe eines Mengenrationierungsmodells

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag untersucht die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen der Immigration von Gastarbeitern in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland im Rahmen eines makroökonometrischen Rationierungsmodells. Das Modell beruht auf einem expliziten Aggregationsansatz über Mikromärkte, auf denen unterschiedliche Rationierungskonstellationen bestehen und erlaubt die Bestimmung der Beschäftigung in Abhängigkeit von Arbeitsangebot, Güternachfrage und Produktionspotential. Einen Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit bildet die endogene Bestimmung des Arbeitsangebots über Migrations- und Partizipationsentscheidungen von Gastarbeitern und Deutschen. Anhand einer Simulation werden dann die Auswirkungen einer restiktiveren Immigrationspolitik am Ende der sechziger Jahre auf Arbeitsangebot, Beschäftigung und Wirtschaftswachstum diskutiert.
