Anwendung nichtparametrischer Schätzverfahren für die Hazardfunktion bei zensierten Daten auf die Aufenthaltsdauer von Gastarbeitern in der Bundesrepublik

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag werden nichtparametrisclie Schätzer für die Hazardrate zur Analyse des Rückkehrverhaltens von Gastarbeitern in der Bundesrepublik vorgestellt. Als Datengrundlage dient das jährlich erhobene Sozio-ökonomische Panel, DIW, aus dem die Informationen für griechische, italienische, jugoslawische, spanische und türkische Personen extrahiert werden. Da der Datensatz einen hohen Zensierungsanteil und eine große Anzahl von Bindungen aufweist, werden Methoden der Kern- und Nearest-Neighbour-Schätzung sowie der variablen Kernschätzung der Hazardfunktion entsprechend modifiziert und hier erstmals empirisch angewendet. Die Plots der Dichte- und Hazardschätzungen weisen darauf hin, daß die Aufenthaltsdauer der Frauen kürzer als die der Männer ist. Ferner lassen sich für die untersuchten Nationalitäten unterschiedliche Verläufe der Hazardfunktion beobachten.
