Der wirtschaftliche Niedergang in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und in der Weimarer Republik

Abstract

Die Bundesrepublik Deutschland wird seit ihrem Bestehen mit der ersten deutschen, der Weimarer Republik, verglichen. In den frühen Jahren der Bundesrepublik bestand eine verbreitete Angst, die Erschütterungen der Weimarer Republik könnten sich wiederholen. Im Zuge der wirtschaftlichen und politischen Stabilisierung schwand diese Angst mehr und mehr. Die Diskussion über Parallelen und Unterschiede beider Republiken verstummte aber nie ganz. In letzter Zeit sind Vergleiche wieder häufiger geworden.. Im Ergebnis laufen sie durchweg auch heute noch auf die These hinaus, daß die Bundesrepublik nicht den Gefährdungen ausgesetzt sei wie es die Weimarer Republik war.
