Zur Revisionsanfälligkeit der privaten Konsumausgaben im vierten Quartal

Abstract

Die privaten Konsumausgaben haben in der zweiten Jahreshälfte in etwa stagniert, während wir in unse-ren Prognosen von deutlichen Anstiegen ausgegangen waren. Diese Stagnation ist insofern über-raschend, da die verfügbaren Einkommen nicht zuletzt aufgrund der guten Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt in der Tendenz deutlich aufwärts gerichtet sind. Insgesamt gehen wir in unseren Prognosen deshalb bereits seit einiger Zeit davon aus, dass sich die hohe konjunkturelle Dynamik verwendungsseitig auch in deutlich steigenden Konsumausgaben widerspiegelt. Es stellt sich dabei die Frage, ob die schwache Konsum-dynamik in der zweiten Hälfte des vergangenen Jahres eine Trendwende darstellt.
