Digitale Technologien in der Live-In-Pflege: "Ambient Assisted Living" zur Reduktion von Arbeitszeit?

Abstract

In der Live-In-Pflege arbeiten migrantische Sorgearbeiterinnen in deutschen Privathaushalten zu prekären Arbeitsbedingungen. Die Live-In-Pflege stellt in Deutschland ein häufiges Phänomen dar. So übernehmen Live-Ins - selbst bei geringer Schätzung - ein Viertel der bezahlten Pflegearbeit. Hinsichtlich der Arbeitsbedingungen stellen sich insbesondere überlange Arbeitszeiten als zentrales Problem heraus. In diesem Pflege-Arrangement wird im Verschwimmen von Arbeits- und Wohnort häufig der Anspruch einer permanenten Verfügbarkeit an Live-Ins gerichtet.Die hierbei entstehenden umfassenden Bereitschaftszeiten überschreiten somit die rechtliche Höchstarbeitszeit deutlich. Daher befassen wir uns im Folgenden mit dem Problem der Bereitschaftszeit in der Live-In-Pflege. Im Zentrum steht hierbei die Prüfung der Option, durch Verwendung digitaler Technologie die Arbeitszeit zu reduzieren.Aufgrund ihres Charakters als Interaktionsarbeit wird die Pflege häufig als "digitalisierungsresistent" verstanden. Dennoch werden digitale Technologien im Krankenhaus, in der stationären und ambulanten Altenpflege und in der häuslichen Pflege bereits verwendet.
