KinderpflegerIn, AltenpflegehelferIn - und dann? Weiterbildung zur Fachkraft und Berufstätigkeit

Abstract

Aufbauend auf der Studie "HauptschülerInnen auf dem Weg zur Erzieherin und Alternpflegerin" wurde in einer dritten Befragungswelle der weitere Berufs- und Bildungsweg der AltenpflegehelferInnen und KinderpflegerInnen untersucht. Die einmal eingeschlagenen Wege haben sich verstetigt. Diejenigen, die eine Erwerbstätigkeit im Berufsfeld aufgenommen haben ("Stayer") setzen diesen ebenso fort wie "Mover", die eine Ausbildung zur Fachkraft aufgenommen haben. Das Potential derjenigen, die Interesse an einer Fachkraftausbildung haben, wird noch nicht ausgeschöpft. Als hinderlich zeigen sich u. a. befristete Arbeitsverträge, die fehlende Ausbildungsvergütung bei der Ausbildung zur Erzieherin/zum Erzieher und die fehlende Anrechnung von Ausbildungsinhalten.
