Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Ein internationaler Überblick über staatliche Vorgaben zu einer Mindestbesetzung im Pflegedienst der Krankenhäuser

Abstract

Die Personalbemessung ist ein entscheidender Faktor für die Qualität der Gesundheitsversorgung im Krankenhaus. Ebenso wird die dünne Personaldecke im Pflegedienst in Krankenhäusern seit Jahren als Ursache für eine hohe Arbeitsbelastung problematisiert. Die vorliegende Studie gibt einen Überblick über internationale Regulierungssysteme, die zwingend einzuhaltende Mindestbesetzungen in Form von sogenannten Nurse-to-Patient Ratios vorgeben. Die Autoren kommen zum Ergebnis, dass ein Großteil der Regelungen auf Deutschland übertragbar wäre.
