Europas Unternehmenssektor im Wandel: Eine evolutionsökonomische Analyse zum sich ändernden Sektorenmix

Abstract

Die Datenanalyse der volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung legt nahe, dass sich die Anteile bestimmter Wirtschaftszweige innerhalb des Unternehmenssektors entlang eines langfristigen Trends verändern. So haben die technologielastigen Wirtschaftszweige ihren Anteil zu Ungunsten von traditionellen Wirtschaftszweigen, wie bspw. Chemie und Autos, erhöht. Dieser langfristige Trend kann als Beleg für eine 'Sektorverschiebung' und damit als Teil eines allgemeinen mesoökonomischen Wandels der Wirtschaftszweige gesehen werden. In den folgenden Ausführungen soll die Idee einer Sektorverschiebung skizziert werden. Zu deren theoretischer Einordnung wird in allgemeiner Form auf volkswirtschaftliche Paradigmen Bezug genommen, um davon ausgehend die Evolutionsökonomik als plausible Fundierung darzulegen. Die empirischen Befunde werden daran anschließend auf Grundlage des evolutionsökonomischen Paradigmas interpretiert.
