Schulbuchauswahl und Lernmittelfreiheit in den deutschen Bundesländern im Kontext von Schülerpartizipation

Abstract

Die Sicht von Schülerinnen und Schülern auf ein Schulbuch kann einen Einfluss auf dessen Nutzen und Wirken und damit für den Lernprozess haben. Auf Basis dieser These spürt der Artikel der Auswahlpraxis in den deutschen Bundesländern nach. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf Beteiligung von Schülerinnen und Schülern an den Entscheidungen, die zur Einführung eines Schulbuches führen. Dabei werden zum einen gesetzliche Bestimmungen der Landesschulgesetze betrachtet, bevor in einem zweiten Schritt einige Beispiele aus der Praxis an einzelnen Schulen vorgestellt werden. Aus diesen Erkenntnissen werden die Anbieter-Kundenbeziehungen mit Berücksichtigung dreier Kundengruppen (LehrerInnen, Eltern, SchülerInnen) modelliert. Anhand dieses Modells diskutiert der Artikel Probleme, die aus der Vernachlässigung der Bedürfnisse der Kundengruppe Lernende entstehen können. So kann es durch von wenigen Lehrern getroffene Kollektiventscheidungen zu sub-optimalen Ergebnissen kommen, die letztlich eine Entfremdung der Schülerinnen und Schüler vom Schulbuch zur Folge haben können. Der Artikel schlägt eine stärkere Einbindung der Schülerinnen und Schüler in den Auswahlprozess vor. So könnte eine „Schulbuchalphabetisierung“ und eine positivere Einstellung zum Medium und letztlich auch zum Lernen erreicht werden.
