Éxito salarial: indicadores por género en la distribución salarial

Abstract

¿Se puede medir el éxito salarial? ¿Es diferente por género? ¿Por qué trabajadores con igual dotación de capital humano reciben salarios diferentes? En este trabajo se trata de responder a estas cuestiones construyendo un indicador que identifique el éxito con el hecho de percibir un salario superior al de los individuos que comparten con nosotros la misma dotación de capital humano. A partir de este concepto el trabajo constata la elevada importancia del capital humano para alcanzar el éxito tanto para hombres como mujeres, que el grado de éxito es mayor en el colectivo masculino y que el éxito salarial es diferente entre hombre y mujeres.
