La oferta de trabajo en Bélgica: Distribución del trabajo remunerado entre los cónyuges de la familia

Abstract

Resumen El objetivo de este trabajo es caracterizar la oferta de trabajo por parte de los individuos de un matrimonio. El alcance del estudio se basa en la situación de Bélgica y el periodo temporal de análisis abarca desde 2.004 hasta 2.019 inclusive. A partir del banco de datos, se ha aplicado un modelo de trabajo basado en una regresión lineal simple. En este trabajo, principalmente se persigue definir la influencia de factores como la edad, el nivel salarial, el nivel educativo, el número de miembros que compone la familia y el número de hijos en la definición de la oferta de trabajo de un individuo. En base a los resultados obtenidos, se concluye que tanto la oferta de trabajo como la remuneración es mayor en el caso de los hombres. Además, los factores con influencia significativa sobre la determinación de la oferta de trabajo son diferentes para los hombres y para las mujeres. Abstract The objective of this report is to characterize the job offer by the individuals of a married couple. The scope of the study is based on the situation in Belgium and the time period of analysis covers from 2004 to 2019 inclusive. From the database, a working model based on a simple linear regression has been applied. In this work, it is mainly intended to define the influence of factors such as age, salary level, educational level, the number of members that make up the family and the number of children in the definition of the job offer of an individual. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that both, the job offer and the remuneration, are higher in the case of men. In addition, the factors with significant influence on the determination of the job offer are different for men and women.
