Utilités et méthodes de l'histoire pour les sciences de gestion

Abstract

En France, le rythme de production de travaux d'histoire de la gestion des organisations augmente de façon significative depuis une dizaine d'années. C'est l'occasion d'un travail pluridisciplinaire fructueux entre gestionnaires, historiens, économistes et sociologues. Cet article tente donc d'informer les chercheurs en sciences de gestion sur l'utilité et les difficultés de tels travaux. Après avoir discuté des différentes acceptions de l'utilité, nous tentons de décrire les problèmes de méthodes : qu'entend-on par méthodes ? Comment recenser et traiter les sources ? Quelles sont les grandes écoles historiques ?
