Abstract

Working paper on the employment and income effects of computerization (microelectronics) in India - examines problems and impact in the machine tool industry, motor vehicle industry, printing industry, banks and schools; stresses the primary importance of government policy measures to facilitate simultaneous development of infrastructures and institutional frameworks.
