Author

Listed:
  • Rato, Maria Helena da Cunha.

Abstract

Working paper-conference paper using an ibge-ilo simulation model to forecast the effects of labour force participation by woman workers on economic and social development in Brazil - studies factors relating to occupational status, educational level and underemployment by sex, and concludes that too fast a growth in female participation rates would be detrimental to an already excessive labour supply in the Brazilian production system. One-page bibliography and statistical tables. Conference held in Rio de Janeiro 1978 November 23 to 26.
