Abstract

Working paper on the role and economic implications of migrant worker labour supply for the labour market and economic and social development in the Gulf States - covers population trends, human resources, educational level, industrialization policy, labour demand, etc., characterizes the size, social structure and occupational structure of expatriate worker communitys, and constitutes part of a WEP research project on migration for employment. Bibliography pp. 83 and 84, diagrams and statistical tables.
