Abstract

Esta publicación recoge los objetivos, experiencias y resultados de la segunda edición internacional del Concurso Universitario BID UrbanLab organizado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo junto a la Alcaldía de Santa Marta, Findeter y la Fundación Tras La Perla de la América, buscando el desarrollo de un proyecto urbano integral, transformador, multisectorial y sostenible para el emblemático Barrio Pescaíto en la ciudad de Santa Marta, Colombia. El BID UrbanLab es un concurso orientado a buscar soluciones creativas e ideas innovadoras a problemas urbanos de América Latina y el Caribe (ALC), de la mano a estudiantes, profesores universitarios y jóvenes profesionales de toda la región, con el objetivo de servir como semillero e incubadora del talento joven en temas urbanos a partir de una red de trabajo con universidades, colaborar a cerrar la brecha entre los jóvenes y el mercado laboral, así como promover un espacio participativo que ponga en discusión los paradigmas de la disciplina.
