Postdemokratie, Machtverhaeltnisse und Oekonomik. Zur Frage der Homogenitaet in der deutschsprachigen Oekonomik

Abstract

Gegenstand des Beitrags ist die Problematisierung des Zusammenhangs zwischen der Ausrichtung der deutschsprachigen Oekonomen und theoretischen Implikationen dazu. Zu diesem Zweck werden in einem ersten Schritt Ausfuehrungen zu theoretischen Konzepten zum Problemfeld Oekonomie und Politik, hier insbesondere in Gestalt der Postdemokratiethese (Crouch) und der Performativitaet (Callon) gegeben. In einem zweiten Schritt werden zentrale Ergebnisse einer empirischen Analyse zur gegenwaertigen Ausrichtung der deutsch‚sprachigen Oekonomik vorgestellt. In besagter Analyse wurden die derzeit wirkenden ordentlichen Professoren an den staatlichen Universitaeten in Oesterreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz mit Zugehoerigkeit zu einer volkswirtschaftlichen Abteilung (708 Professuren an 89 Universitaetsstandorten) hinsichtlich verschiedener Indikatoren (institutionelle Faktoren, theoretische Orientierung sowie ausserakademisches Wirkungsspektrum) untersucht. Im Ergebnis ist festzuhalten, dass das aktuelle Forschungsprofil der untersuchten Oekonomen durch einen monistischen Charakter neoklassischer Praegung gekennzeichnet ist. Ferner versuchen Oekonomen ihren Einfluss auf das gesellschaftliche Denken mittels verschiedener Institutionen, Gremien und Think Tanks geltend zu machen, wobei die Vernetzung neoliberaler Akteure am staerksten ausgepraegt ist.
