Abstract

Cette étude, qui sera complétée ultérieurement par les travaux de l'Agence d'urbanisme (aspect urbain et commerciale) et de l'observatoire social (enquête auprès des usagers) a pour objectif de mieux connaître le rôle joué par les taxis dans les déplacements de l'agglomération lyonnaise. Pour ce faire, les auteurs dressent dans un premier temps un état des lieux afin de caractériser quantitativement le marché, c'est à dire l'offre et la demande en matière de taxis sur le territoire des 55 communes de la COURLY en y incluant l'aéroport de Satolas. Dans un deuxième temps, ils examinent les fonctions nouvelles ou étendues qui peuvent être attribués aux taxis. A partir d'études bibliographiques et monographiques sur le terrain, ils analysent les expériences tentées pour compléter la desserte offerte par les transports collectifs urbains et ils évaluent les potentialités d'adaptation des taxis aux transports "spécialisés". Enfin, ils étudient les possibilités de rationalisation de l'interface offre/demande du marché des taxis.
