Abstract

This preprint is in the form of a data paper. It presents the associated database: issues and possible uses, content, questionnaire, methodology, exploratory results (convergent and nomological validity, typology). The database is the result of a quantitative questionnaire survey (n= 787). It is built on the basis of the theory of reasoned action (TRA ,Fishbein and Ajzen, 1975) extended to past experiences, subjective knowledge and personal identity in termes of of spirituality/paranormal. The dependent variable can be either the intention to support the existence of paranormal phenomena during a discussion; this in a psychosociological approach (TRA) or in an approach developed in marketing around the concept of loyalty (Lichtlé and Plichon, 2008) which integrates a wide variety of dimensions including conative, positive word of mouth and affective. The latter is close to the dimension of personal identity (towards spirituality and the paranormal in our investigation).
