Abstract

Après avoir précisé les contours de l'innovation sociale (objet frontière propre à plusieurs disciplines), nous montrerons qu'elle repose sur des processus collaboratifs, qui procèdent du management des connaissances (ce domaine, largement étudié notamment depuis le milieu des années 1990, prend une dimension stratégique à l'ère de la société numérique), dont les règles de fonctionnement correspondent à celles de la gestion des biens communs tels que définis par E. Ostrom (1990). Ainsi les bouleversements de l'environnement (autour de la société numérique) accentuent le besoin de manager (sous-entendu développer) la ressource « connaissance ». Cette ressource possède les caractéristiques d'un « bien commun ». Si cette ressource est gérée comme un bien commun alors l'organisation doit se mettre au diapason et elle aussi adopter une forme organisationnelle compatible avec la gestion en commun, d'où l'émergence d'innovation sociale (organisationnelle).
