Abstract

Cet article a pour objet de mettre en évidence le caractère bidirectionnel des processus de socialisation à la consommation au sein de la famille. Si la thèse la plus répandue est celle de la transmission des valeurs de consommation des parents vers les enfants, il ne faut pas négliger le flot inverse d'influence qui s'exerce entre enfants et parents. Après avoir évoqué les rôles assumés par les parents dans cet apprentissage de la consommation, la problématique de la socialisation inversée est abordée. Découlant de ces deux modes d'apprentissage, des implications managériales sont proposées.
