Internet comme outil de yield management dans le tourisme

Abstract

Après avoir été développées par les grandes compagnies aériennes, les techniques du yield management sont aujourd'hui largement exploitées par d'autres activités de services. Parmi elles, le secteur touristique subit aujourd'hui de profondes restructurations. Mais en marge des mouvements stratégiques illustrés par ces restructurations, Internet risque au même moment de devenir un puissant outil de yield management susceptible de révolutionner profondément le secteur. Après avoir rappelé les principes du yield management et décrit les évolutions récentes d'Internet et du secteur du touristique, cet article présente la capacité et l'intérêt d'Internet à devenir un outil de yield management global.
