Abstract

Conformément à la thèse durkheimienne, l'approche que défend L'empire de la valeur (2011) attribue à la valeur économique une force sui generis qui lui vient de l'investissement collectif du groupe. Dans cet article, il s'agit d'analyser l'évaluation financière sous cet angle. Selon notre approche, la puissance motrice n'est pas du côté des individus mais du côté du marché qui s'impose comme une force autonome qui mène le jeu. L'explosion des CDS sur la période 2001-2007 comme la bulle Internet nous semble illustrer cette hypothèse. C'est le marché qui informe les investisseurs et non, comme le défend l'approche marginaliste, l'inverse. Dans un dernier temps, l'article propose une élucidation formelle de ce processus top-down à l'aide d'un modèle dérivé du modèle d'Ising de la physique statistique.
