Propuesta de un Sistema Descentralizado de Asentamientos Humanos Sustentables para el Área del Maipo Sur-Poniente

Abstract

La sustentabilidad de asentamientos humanos de nivel intermedio es un tema poco estudiado en Chile. La investigación plantea una estrategia para poder abordar la complejidad de este tema a través de un sistema metodológico integrado por tres grandes secuencias entrelazadas: el método Fuerzas motrices - Presión - Estado - Impacto - Respuesta; el método marco lógico; y la técnica de las coremas. Entre los hallazgos se puede destacar que el uso del enfoque sistémico-multicausal es apropiado para abordar el problema planteado, ya que apunta a la formulación y evaluación de variables clave de la sustentabilidad, los cuales forman parte de la dinámica de presión antrópica: el crecimiento y localización de la población y el empleo, y los patrones de expansión urbana. El análisis de dichos fenómenos permite continuar y profundizar la discusión acerca de las teorías de la ciudad compacta y difusa.
