Quelles mobilités géographiques en début de vie active ?

Abstract

A l'occasion de leur entrée dans la vie active, les jeunes doivent-ils déménager (mobilité résidentielle) ou se déplacer (mobilité alternante) pour travailler ? Cette alternative est d'autant plus vraie que les jeunes sont diplômés. La mobilité résidentielle est une composante importante de l'insertion professionnelle puisqu'elle concerne un jeune sur quatre. Les deux formes de mobilité sont principalement des substituts, même si certains jeunes cumulent les deux. L'enquête utilisée, "Génération 98" du Céreq, permet de repérer différentes formes de mobilités (résidentielle, alternante, inter et intrarégionale, proche ou lointaine) à partir des changements de zone d'emploi et non plus seulement de région ou de département. Sont alors distingués le niveau de formation, la nature de l'employeur, la profession, la région d'origine.
