Abstract

Based on two qualitative case studies in intercommunal areas, this paper deals with territorial effects specificity of women entrepreneurs living in administrative deprived areas. It reveals the different degrees of their participation in social solidarity economy and their wish to help people through their economic activity. These activities strengthen social local development more than economic local development. But women entrepreneurs local commitment is not always a choice : it depends mainly on their social and economic constraints.
