Les fondements ethniques de l’entrepreneuriat des femmes immigrées dans la restauration à Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Abstract

The paper studies the link between the migration path and the entrepreneurial journey of immigrant women in the food service in Ouagadougou. It highlights the strategic role of ethnic resources in the entrepreneurial activities of these women. However, the results show that the triggers of the entrepreneurial career of these women are not based on discrimination or particular disadvantages experienced in the host country, but stem from the family discomfort caused by the deterioration of the professional and financial situation either of the spouse or of the women themselves.
