Abstract

Dans l'enseignement supérieur français, le niveau de dépense publique par étudiant connaît une baisse tendancielle amorcée depuis les années 2010, particulièrement marquée à l'Université, alors même que cet investissement génère des gains élevés. En outre, l'investissement public diffère fortement selon les filières et les spécialités, et les inégalités sociales d'accès à l'enseignement supérieur demeurent très fortes. Dans cette nouvelle Note du CAE, Gabrielle Fack et Élise Huillery font des propositions pour repenser la stratégie d'investissement dans l'enseignement supérieur pour gagner en efficience et en équité.
