Abstract

Le commerce international favorise les exportations mais permet aussi la substitution d'importations à la production intérieure. À partir de données d'entreprises françaises, ce Rue de la Banque étudie l'impact du commerce extérieur sur les salaires et le rôle des accords salariaux. Une hausse des exportations et des importations a un effet positif sur le salaire moyen mais, pour les exportations, le gain salarial est le même pour toutes les catégories de salariés, alors que pour les importations, l'effet est plus fort pour les cadres. Les accords d'entreprise sont systématiquement associés à des gains salariaux croissant avec le niveau des exportations et importations. Cependant, les accords salariaux ne réduisent que faiblement les inégalités salariales induites par les importations.
