Abstract

There is a wealth of delocalization studies which focus on the reasons of offshoring, but they do not take into account the SMEs specificities and their digital development. To explore risks and opportunities of such a way of development for this kind of firms, we have mobilized some theories as proximity, transaction costs, service innovation, internationalization and new institutionalization theory. Each one brings quite interesting elements to understand their delocalization decision making and international development in a period where FDI are more and more common in emerging countries.
