Abstract

L'objectif de cet article est d'examiner en quoi la théorie des parties prenantes peut constituer un cadre de réflexion utile au manager, c'est-à-dire capable d'opérationnaliser la notion de Développement Durable (DD). Elle permet en effet la prise en compte des trois piliers (économique, social et environnemental) dans la mesure où les enjeux de chacun d'eux sont incarnés par des personnes physiques ou morales (les parties prenantes) qui deviennent autant d'interlocuteurs légitimes de l'entreprise. Cette dernière est donc vue comme un système traversé par des revendications reconnues comme ayant une valeur intrinsèque. L'approche parties prenantes pose alors la question de la concertation et de la méditation. Enfin, elle offre une nouvelle vision de l'entreprise : une organisation humaine au service des hommes. Elle présente cependant trois principaux risques : un risque d'anthropocentrisme, une approche "firmo-centrée" ainsi qu'un risque d'instrumentalisation.
