Abstract

Dans l'oeuvre d'Andy Warhol, la soupe Campbell est sublimée en passant du statut de marque à celui de sujet central d'une oeuvre d'art. En revanche, à travers le choix de la sérigraphie et le caractère répétitif de la marque, motif central de la boîte de soupe, l'artiste témoigne également d'un monde industrialisé où l'uniformité prévaut. On peut également y percevoir une critique de ce qui préfigure une nouvelle forme de l'art contemporain.
