Abstract

Les bénéfices de l'amélioration de la qualité de l'eau sont pour une grande part des bénéfices non marchands, récréatifs notamment. Cette communication traite de l'estimation de la valeur non marchande attribuée à une eau de bonne qualité dans la rade de Brest. Il s'agissait d'apporter des éléments utiles à l'évaluation économique ex ante du projet de dépollution de la rade, retenue comme site pilote au niveau communautaire. Une enquête sur sites récréatifs a permis de mettre en œuvre la méthode d'évaluation contingente. Deux marchés contingents ont été proposés : amélioration de la salubrité des eaux et préservation de la rade de l'eutrophisation. La modélisation "Tobit" du consentement à payer débouche sur les déterminants de la demande de qualité d'eau.
