Valuing sea-trout angling : a contingent experiment in western France

Abstract

Ce document traite seulement de la pêche à la ligne des truites de mer en France. Il n'y a pas de commercialisation, la pêche est réservée aux pêcheurs à la ligne seulement dans le cadre des loisirs. Peu de personnes investissent dans cette activité : 3300 en 1990 mais, les dépenses par pêcheur sont telles que la pêche de loisir a des impacts économiques significatifs. Nous présentons quelques résultats d'une évaluation expérimentale sur la Touque : rivière de l'Ouest de la France. Elle est connue pour la truite de mer et 40 % des pêcheurs de truite de mer pêchent dans cette rivière. La recherche associe une étude sur le terrain et une étude par enquête. L'étude sur le terrain s'étalait sur la saison 1990. Le questionnaire était destiné à fournir une information rétrospective et à mettre en œuvre la méthode du coût de déplacement. L'objectif général de l'étude par enquête était d'obtenir une évaluation ex ante de plusieurs propositions traitant de la gestion de la pêche. L'évaluation expérimentale était basée sur la méthode d'évaluation contingente.
