De la place de la théorie de la valeur et de la monnaie dans la théorie de la régulation : critique et synthèse

Abstract

Marxistes et régulationnistes s’opposent sur l’utilité de la théorie de la valeur, notamment la théorie de la valeur-travail. Nous montrons comment les régulationnistes, après avoir été pour certains des défenseurs de la théorie de la valeur-travail, l’ont abandonnée pour y substituer une théorie de la monnaie. Nous montrons que les problèmes centraux pour le marxisme sont celui de la socialisation des travaux privés par le marché et le fait que la théorie de la valeur-travail n’est plus utilisée que pour démontrer l’exploitation. Après avoir souligné les apports du programme de recherche sur la monnaie, nous montrons les limites auxquelles peut mener un tel positionnement, notamment l’absence de théorie des prix et du profit, et nous montrons qu’en fait des auteurs comme Orléan et Lordon recourent à une théorie de la construction sociale de la valeur d’usage. Nous montrons également que la théorie de l’exploitation et les travaux sur les nouveaux indicateurs de richesse ne peuvent se passer totalement d’une théorie de la valeur.
