Abstract

Lorsque nous avons proposé, en réponse à un appel à projet de l'ADEME en 2011, d'analyser la coordination de l'énergie dans les écoquartiers, nous étions loin d'imaginer que ce thème était peu abordé tant dans les travaux de recherche que dans la littérature grise. Certes, beaucoup de projets de R&D technologiques étaient déployés dans des configurations de type écoquartier en France. Certes, de nombreuses publications portaient sur les écoquartiers et quelques-unes concernaient leur fabrique (Charlot-Valdieu & Outrequin 2009; Souami 2009; Renauld 2012). Plus récemment, la performance énergétique effective des bâtiments habités dans les écoquartiers a émergé comme un des thèmes fédérateurs d'une sociologie de l'énergie renouvelée. Cependant, très peu de publications abordaient conjointement les différentes dimensions de l'énergie dans les espaces urbanisés : la production, la consommation et la distribution ; aucune ne traitait de la gestion des intermittences et du stockage de l'énergie dans les écoquartiers.
