Abstract

[eng] This contribution focuses on the simulation of the emergence and evolution of communities of practice, a concept brought forwards originally in sociology in the early 90's by Lave and Wenger (1990) and Brown and Duguid (1991). In a first part, the main theoretical principles on which relies the notion of community of practice are recalled. Then, the contribution exposes the characteristics of the simulation, and discusses the main results that have been obtained. [fre] Cette contribution est consacrée à l'étude et à la simulation de la formation et de la dynamique des communautés de pratique, mises en évidence en sociologie au début des années 90 par les travaux de Lave et Wenger (1990) et Brown et Duguid (1991). Après avoir rappelé, dans un premier temps les principes théoriques sur lesquels repose la notion de communauté de pratique, l'article expose, successivement, les principes de la simulation retenue et enfin les résultats.
