Antenarration et communication financière : leçons de l’opération Areva/UraMin

Abstract

Cet article a pour but principal de tester, de manière inédite, l'approche « antenarrative » développée par Boje (2001, 2011a) en l'appliquant à un cas de communication financière. L'analyse longitudinale de l'acquisition d'UraMin par Areva en 2007 est conduite de son récit prospectif initial (l'antenarration) à ses conséquences et impacts sur la communication des divers acteurs. Différentes phases dans la communication du groupe acquéreur sont mises en évidence : une phase initiale de conquête, suivie d'une phase de doute puis de remise en question. Nous montrons, en juxtaposant l'antenarration et les théories de la légitimation, comment les logiques de légitimation sont influencées par de multiples acteurs dès lors que l'« affaire » est portée sur la place publique. Les potentiels et les limites de l'ante-narration sont identifiés. De par les spécificités des activités extractives, un tel cas doit inspirer de nombreux acteurs : auditeurs, experts géologues, normalisateurs, analystes.
