La coordination entre politique monétaire et politique macroprudentielle. Que disent les modèles DSGE ?

Abstract

Nous réalisons une méta-analyse de vingt-trois modèles DSGE qui réunissent toutes les caractéristiques permettant d'observer les modalités de la combinaison entre la politique monétaire et la politique macroprudentielle (PMP). Ces modèles ont en commun d'incorporer des instruments macroprudentiels visant à limiter les fluctuations financières et de représenter la politique monétaire au moyen d'une règle de Taylor qui peut faire répondre le taux d'intérêt à la fois à l'écart d'inflation, à l'écart de production et à un écart financier. En considérant la valeur du coefficient de réponse à l'écart financier dans la règle de Taylor comme la charnière du policy-mix entre politique monétaire et pmp, nous en faisons notre variable dépendante. La relation que nous testons fait principalement dépendre cette variable du type d'instruments macroprudentiels choisis, de l'importance relative donnée à l'inflation et à l'output gap dans la règle de Taylor, et des modalités d'obtention (par optimisation/estimation ou par calibration) des coefficients de réponse dans la règle de Taylor. Nos résultats suggèrent que le type d'instruments macroprudentiels choisis influence de manière significative le degré d'articulation entre politique monétaire et PMP et que plus la règle de politique monétaire accorde de l'importance à l'inflation et moins cette articulation est forte.
